  • 'Such a Nice Place'

    We had a splendid stay. The owners are very friendly, there was room enough. Everything was possible. We were allowed to let the laundry dry in the big garden. The boys could play badminton there. We had even salad with tomatoes and basil from the garden. We loved our stay.

    We made a last minute booking at Gardeners Cottages and could not believe how lucky we were! A comfortable, homely cottage with all you needed for a week away. The setting is truly wonderful, the walled garden provided a beautiful setting for a cup of tea in the mornings. It proved an ideal base to travel from with good road links. Our hosts were lovely, there if needed and happy to go that extra mile for you. We will definitely be planning another visit and have already recommended it to friends.

    As this is our third stay at the cottages we always receive a warm welcome and Avril and Andy are a lovely couple who are more than helpful. Very peaceful setting close to Loch Lomand and all amenities. We highly recommend and will be back soon.

    Kind, welcoming hosts. Convenient location just north of Balloch, 10 minutes from Luss, 15 minutes from Helensburgh. Loch views and access to ferry a short walk away. Fully equipped accommodation with ample central heating and in-bath shower. Off road parking. Lovely garden with garden seats and barbecue available. Cycle tracks and hiking nearby.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lomond Cottage. Andy and Avril were the kindest and most thoughtful hosts ensuring we had everything we needed. They provided helpful local information and treats for us to enjoy during our stay. The gardens are fabulous and are easily accessed for a cuppa and quiet break. The walk to Loch Lomond was easy and enjoyable. We had plenty of space and everything was comfortable and worked well. We would love to return and we highly recommend staying.

    We had a lovely stay at the Gardeners Cottages. We stayed in Lomond Cottage. Myself, my husband, daughter and her friend were attending a wedding at The Cruin. Avril and Andy were very welcoming and friendly and the cottage was excellent with everything we needed inside. Would definitely recommend and return.
